Though I helped start an FCA Huddle in high school, God took me on a roundabout journey towards answering the call to full-time ministry. Having always had a passion for sports, I worked in virtually every area of athletics during my time at the University of Illinois. It was then that my passion for Christ also grew like never before. In a series of God orchestrated events, I ended up with an opportunity to intern with FCA during college. The rest has been a journey over 7 years in the making.
I’ve been given a powerful story of what it looks like to see the freedom of Christ change the way I live and compete. Armed with this testimony, I’ve been answering the call to speak the Truth of the Gospel into the lives of coaches and athletes daily through huddles, Bible studies, team chapels, and one on one discipleship.
My beautiful wife, Mackenzie, and I love teaming up together to serve God’s people. We live in Champaign, worship at Christ Community Church in Urbana, enjoy traveling, spending time with Chief (our dog), and hosting dozens of young student-athletes.
I’m the chaplain of the Fighting Illini baseball team, director of the Urbana Day Camp, co-leader the U of I/Parkland college ministry, and oversee campus ministry at Arcola, Heritage, Rantoul, St. Joseph, Tolono, Tuscola, Urbana, and Villa Grove. If I can serve you and yours in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
