Meet Tip Reiman

Arizona Cardinal Tight End and Former Illini
Tip Reiman is a tight end for the Arizona Cardinals, selected in the third round (82nd overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Illinois. A former walk‑on who rose to become a team captain and Mackey Award Watch List candidate, Reiman quickly proved his durability and value by becoming one of only four Cardinals rookies to appear in all 17 games during the 2024 season. His selection—paired with fellow Illini captain Isaiah Adams just 11 picks earlier—marked the first time since 1960 that Arizona drafted two players from the same school consecutively in the same round.
Born on September 17, 2001, in Rapid City, South Dakota, Reiman played high school football at St. Thomas More before finishing his prep career at O’Gorman High School, where he helped secure a state championship as a senior. At the University of Illinois, he transformed from an unheralded walk‑on into a key offensive piece, recording 41 receptions for 420 yards and five touchdowns across four seasons while earning his degree in Kinesiology. Known for his elite in‑line blocking and physical presence, he signed a four‑year rookie contract with the Cardinals in 2024.
Off the field, Reiman enjoys working on a pottery wheel and is widely admired for his humble, hardworking “grinder” mentality. He is married to former Illinois diver Maddy Reiman, whom he met through the FCA College Huddle, where both served as leaders. While his athletic achievements are impressive, Tip is most defined by his faith in Jesus and his commitment to his roles as husband and father.
