I was born and raised in Springfield, IL. I earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Lincoln Christian University. After college, I spent 10 years working in real estate before exiting the corporate world to follow two of my passions, entrepreneurship and love for community.
In 2013, I became the Executive Director of Project Meet the Need, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help facilitate upward mobility for individuals in the local community. That same year, I also created and launched my own business, Blue Hook Ad Group, a company that specializes in serving the advertising needs of other entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and churches.
I began volunteering as an FCA chaplain in 2018. While I personally participated in FCA activities in high school, this was the point when I truly fell in love with the ministry. Later in 2018, I accepted my call to full-time ministry and joined the staff of Illini Land FCA in the summer of 2019. I was a multi-sport athlete in high school and have been coaching basketball since 2013. I absolutely love every opportunity I have through this ministry to love and serve coaches and athletes as I help to lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Through it all, I consider myself a humble servant. Of all my accomplishments, I consider my family to be the greatest. Aside from serving as a local missionary for the Illini Land FCA, serving on the board of directors for the Crisis Nursery, and serving as the Founder, Director, and Head Coach of the Illinois Basketball Club, in my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Jamie and our four children, Aidyn, Rylee, Kingston, and Morris.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
