FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You have two options depending on how much your camper wants to attend:
- Option 1: Attend camp regardless of sport. First, register for any OPEN sport to guarantee a spot at camp. Then, register for the waitlist of their preferred sport. If a spot opens up, we will contact you to confirm before making the switch.
- Option 2: Preferred sport only. Register only for the waitlist of that specific sport. We fill these spots on a first-come, first-served basis as they become available.
Because spots are limited, we ask that registrations be reserved for campers who can attend the entire session. This ensures every child gets the full camp experience and that spots are utilized effectively.
As our waitlist continues to grow each year, and to be good stewards of the resources God has provided (volunteers, financial partnerships, food donations, etc.), we have a camp attendance policy.
Here's how it works:
We expect all registered campers to attend.
If your camper(s) will NOT be attending, you must notify us by email no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, June 26th. This allows us enough time to offer spots to campers on the waitlist.
Please note:
- Cancellations after June 26th, or simply not showing up, will impact next year’s Day Camp registration for your camper(s). Rather than being able to immediately secure a spot, your camper(s) will be placed on the waitlist until it’s determined if the camp is full.
- We understand that emergencies happen—extenuating circumstances will be reviewed individually.

The registration didn't go through and your camper isn't registered. Check your junk email. If you still can't find it, email Liz at lgwinn@fca.org or call 217-480-7903 to confirm it didn't go through before trying again.
You sure can…and it can be refrigerated! Please label the bag with your camper’s full name. During lunch, campers are responsible for approaching the kitchen volunteers to retrieve their food.
Huddles are organized by gender, sport, and age. If your camper and their friend share those three factors, you can email Liz at lgwinn@fca.org to request they be placed together. While we cannot guarantee all requests, we do our best to accommodate them. One of the best things about camp – it’s a great opportunity to make new friends!
The "show goes on" in most weather conditions!
- Rain: In light rain, play continues. In the event of thunder or lightning, all outdoor sports will be moved inside.
- Heat: During high temperatures, we increase water breaks, and coaches will modify the intensity of activities to keep everyone safe.
Yes! Thanks to the generosity of our Day Camp sponsors and the individuals, churches, and businesses that support FCA, we’re able to offer camp to the community free of charge. Praise the Lord!
There is an option to donate during the registration process, but it’s completely optional.
